Does Affirm perform a credit check?

No. Creating an Affirm account, checking your eligibility, or seeing whether you prequalify  will not affect your credit.


When you apply for Affirm financing or check your prequalification status, Affirm performs a soft credit inquiry. Soft inquiries do not impact your credit.


However, if you choose to finance your purchase through Affirm, your payment plan and repayment activity may be reported to credit bureaus.
